R.I.P Oscar and Wilde.

Oscar and Wilde were two finches I got for my *antoanette for our anniversary. Today, they passed away. We'll miss you so much!

Update: We want to thank you all for so much support! It means so much to us. Also, I think Oscar and Wilde appreciate it too wherever they are!

This long silence by =BetaAquilae is a visually stimulating abstraction with a touching story behind it. The suggester wrote, "This photo is not only beautiful but it was also inspired by something so emotional and personal, which was in this way shared with other people; the photo is dedicated to two beautiful little finches who recently died." I'm going to have to disagree with the most recent 'critique' in reference to this deviation. Let's get into this, shall we? First off, this pic. is jus' awesome in my opinion, because I'm a fan of the "bokeh" effect and this one is done nicely.

From what I've seen, I'm assumin' the water droplets were merged with the original photograph? Unless I read that wrong, if so, it's realism is blended in well, if not, then it's still great. The red and yellow is what really draws my attention of focus while the blues fade out... Great work.

Secondly, kind of strayin' away from the subject at hand, but a larger piece of this would be awesome, I'm going to use it as a stock if you don't mind.

Enough people try to take shots like this, and most of them fail miserably, but not you, not here.

The bright reds compliment the subtle blues and greys, while keeping true to the scene. The only problems I have with this, are that the raindrops seem to be more pixelated than they should be.

I can imagine this picture blossoming into something more agreeable if the colours and droplets appeared more natural, rather than edited. I'm only holding back marks in the 'Technique' area, as the photogaph itself could have been better.

Nevertheless, this is still a beautiful image, and I'd be more than happy to recommend this as a 'Daily Deviation'. Well done, 'BetaAquilae'.
